Again, I don't think any club wants to break the CHRVA rules by making offers before the tryouts. Your DD may be awesome volleyball player and all that, but I think you don't remember correctly. [/quote]
As long as it’s during the open tryout period and the player has registered/paid for a tryout (i.e., they didn’t get a special discount or financial incentive) a club is permitted to make offers before the actual tryout takes place. This year, the open tryout period for girls 14 and younger is “11 a.m. on the last Friday of October through 10 p.m. on the following Tuesday” meaning that clubs could send out offers as early as 11am on Friday, even if the actual tryout happens later in the day or later in the weekend. I know from personal experience that Paramount will send offers soon after 11am on Friday. It might seem a little odd, but it is within the rules. [/quote]
