KKI is perfectly capable of testing for autism and I would go with them due to cost.

However, keep in mind that KKI doesn't do "versions' of report - there is one document, while some private providers might work more customized with you in terms of what to put into the report for the school in order to advocate for IEP and specific supports under it. A local private provider might be able to include specific language that the school district looks for.

If I were you, I would hire an educational advocate, have them go over existing 504 and speak about your concerns, and then ask what is needed in your situation to get IEP. That should inform you when you do the parent interview with KKI.

This way, you'll save money and will have funds to spend on tutoring and any other interventions. Because IEP will not be a magic bullet, the services will be few, very mediocre and never 1:1, based on your child profile.
