I think this is the ONLY thing kids with summer birthdays on time have any sort of advantage for. Hardly comparable when 90% of the sports are grade based or Dec 1 based and you still fall in the middle/second half. Summer on time birthday kids are at a clear disadvantage for sports. [/quote]

Baseball.  Having a May - Aug birthday is a huge advantage in baseball[/quote]

Plus, the summer birthdays get the advantage, if they red-shirted, when they get to HS.
