The fleet was less than 5% electric last year, and 2% the yes before. PC are dumb or trolls.
Anything from MCPS is either lies, manipulation, half-truths,and trolling.
Fixed it for you. Data is from MCPS.
Data is from MCPS but the manipulation of the data is from parents coalition, as usual.
If your position is that somehow, the Parents Coalition is in the wrong here and not MCPS, then you're not engaging in this conversation with honesty and integrity. Say whatever you want about the MOTIVES of the Parents Coalition, but they have repeatedly, on this issue, done nothing but report facts and expose MCPS for the corrupt entity that it is.
ABC7 https://wjla.com/news/local/montgomery-county-school-board-approves-millions-diesel-bus-purchase-closed-session-janis-sartucci-parents-coalition-concerns-maryland-dmv-school-system#
Given all that is going on surrounding the purchase of buses, approving this in closed session is very poor decision making lacking awareness of how such decision would be viewed, regardless of procedure. Heck, even as a consent item during a general BOE open session someone should have been sure it was openly talked about even if the BOE members had no questions.
The contract was approved during the open session, not the closed session. Item 6.2: https://go.boarddocs.com/mabe/mcpsmd/Board.nsf/goto?open&id=D67HLW490E12 But I agree that a board member could have pulled the item as an opportunity to share more information with the public before the vote.
