Just because a "majority" wanted it does not mean that it's a good thing. The majority can be unwise and uneducated. I hate how our cities now reek of weed. DC and NY did not use to smell like this. Last month, we attended an NFL game in Kansas City (Ravens v Chiefs), and the stadium reeked of weed that people were smoking near the concession stands and the bathrooms. Alcohol is not great either, but at least it does not pollute the air with a bad smell. My DH (age 52) has friends who smoked a lot of weed in high school in the 80's. They came from nice upper middle class families and had a lot of potential. Unfortunately, their decision to have fun and smoke weed has had a harmful impact on the trajectory of their lives.[/quote]
