Most of the people in the area affected by the storm do not live in the path of the storm surge. Did you see the flooding prediction as far inland as the western Carolinas? That said, if the worst storm surge were hitting any other area of FL the loss of life would be really bad. Too many people ride out these storms and this one intensified in a hurry.[/quote] So lucky this was mostly empty Big Bend and Nature Coast [/quote]
