Emma Stone. I really HATED her in Poor Things (and hated that movie). When I saw she'd made another film with the same director it was a hard no for me even though I liked the rest of the cast. I have not always disliked her but recently I find her very pretentious in a way that makes me tired. She thinks she's making "art." But I've actually only liked her in a few things. She's no better than any other actress.

Similarly: Natalie Portman. Same reasons.

The best movie I've seen recently was Ghostlight which had a cast of total unknowns and was incredibly good. It makes me want more of that. It's really wonderful to go into a movie with no preconceptions from an actor's public persona or prior work.[/quote]
