We are planning a trip to Asia when school gets out. 2 weeks at some point between June 16 and July 16. Tokyo, Hong Kong and Seoul. I’ve heard the warnings about miserable humidity and monsoons. However, if it’s early summer or never, I’m inclined to just do this trip.
That's a lot of flying for three very big cities. Out of those two weeks, you'll be losing at least 4 days to travel. Pick two. I'm inclined to say Tokyo & Seoul. HK is just far as f#ck from everything.
We did Tokyo, Bangkok/Chiang Mai, and Hong Kong in a little less than 3 weeks this summer. I agree that for 3 cities, you'll ideally want more than 2 weeks, especially if your kids aren't experienced travelers b/c it is draining. FWIW, we did 6 nights in Tokyo (including 3 nights at Disney), 5 nights in Bangkok (we were seeing family friends so needed extra time), 3 nights in Chiang Mai, and 2 nights in Hong Kong. We lost some days on the way there and back for travel.
