I agree with the initial surprise / weird feeling but I think I still prefer it, given our other constraints with layout I think it’s the best option. This is weird/ I’m assuming you won’t reply to it and that’s fine- but if you don’t mind could I see a photo of what your house looks like when you enter, with the kitchen to one side and living to the other? My husband says he won’t feel comfortable with this plan unless he actually sees it working in another house. And my google search is coming up empty (which might be a sign, I know…)[/quote]
