Same. It's definitely in my sinuses and ears. For me, caffeine seems to help the most but doesn't fix it 100%, pain meds don't help much. If anyone has a remedy that's really helped, please share it!
When I was young, my dad often got “sinus headaches,” which he’d treat with a combination of Sudafed and Tylenol. (I put that in quotation marks because my migraine doctor says there’s no such thing as a “sinus headache” and pain in the sinus area is just a different kind of migraine.) I have the same type of headache, especially when it rains, and often took Sudafed up till I was diagnosed with migraines and started actual migraine treatments. It always seemed like the Sudafed helped at least a little. From what PP said on page one about blood vessels expanding, it seems possible that Sudafed’s effect on tightening blood vessels could help. It’s certainly easy enough to give it a shot, PP! You have to get the real stuff from the pharmacy counter, though, the other decongestant they sell on the regular shelves is worthless.
Important Update: https://www.nbcnews.com/health/health-news/fda-panel-says-common-counter-decongestant-phneylephrine-doesnt-work-rcna104424
Just to distinguish, this article is about Sudafed PE and other drugs with Phenylephrine. "Old fashioned" Sudafed, which is kept behind the counter at the drugstore, contains pseudoephedrine. My experience lines up with this article: Sudafed PE does not help me. Regular Sudafed does.
