Sidwell and GDS both have LEED Gold-certified buildings, which means indoor air quality is has to meet specific standards.
Not platinum???
đ Most of Sidwellâs LS buildings and the US Athletic Center are LEED Gold-certified. Sidwellâs MS and US Quaker Meeting House and Arts Center are all LEED Platinum-certified. According to Sidwellâs website, the Middle School was âthe first Kâ12 school in the world to have a LEED Platinum rating and the first LEED Platinum building in the District of Columbia [March 2007].â
Note - the current Sidwell main US academic building is NOT listed here. I'd be surprised if it is LEED Gold certified.
Sidwell does not list the US as LEED certified, so it probably isnât. Once they sell the LS Bethesda property, theyâll gut and renovate the current US to make room for the new LS. Iâm sure the new LS will be LEED certified. Then, all of Sidwellâs buildings will be LEED certified, except Zartman.
