You never hear the MoCo YIMBYs lobbying to change these things because the land use lawyers are major funders of the local YIMBY groups. You don’t see the council pushing to change it because the land use lawyers donate to their campaigns. We could have had so much more housing in the past 20 years if the planning process had fewer steps and permitting happened faster.
