Well, if you feel like a longer sentence is appropriate for rape, lobby the legislature to change the law. But if people have done their time, we should want them to be productive members of society. And of course, if the guy commits another crime, he should go back to jail.

You’re not gonna change the laws because the white male judge does not want to send a white male 17-year-old to jail for a longer sentence for rape.

I’m surprised he got as many years as he did most rapists get 18 months.

He probably had a charge of kidnapping or something on top of it.[/quote]
