Surely they have the right to decide when to go, for any reason. If this was a younger adult with young dependents, the calculus would be very different, because minor children are impressionable and it's probably not in their best interest to have a mentally ill parent choosing suicide. But even then, there are some extreme and hopeless cases where it could be appropriate - just as a last resort. I am all for expanding the right to suicide. [/quote]
