I don't defend their behavior, but you should read Cat's book before passing such a sweeping judgment on their upbringing - she describes coming home with their mom with take-out one day to find the entire dining room smashed - furniture and everything - because the dad would fly off the handle and smash things if he didn't get his dinner every night at exactly 8:30 - not a normal upbringing. Yeah, I was about to say, that comment was wildly out of line. Cat and her sister are messy as hell but dismissing what is obviously very real trauma because their parents were UMC is wild.

People who grew up in "milquetoast" environments rarely act the way the Marnell sisters do. There are always exceptions but they are clearly hurting. I'm sorry you think that money solves all problems.
