If he's not a flight risk, and not a danger to others, there is no reason to hold him in prison until his trial, on the dime of the state. Really people? Do you understand what pre-trial detention is for? Do you understand what bond is for? It's assurance you will appear at trial. As for the bail system in this country, it's ridiculous, antiquated, and preys on the poor.
He’s a danger to his other kids.
Oh right, yes, there are so many repeat offenders in hot car accidents. It’s a real shame.
Idk, he’s charged with first degree murder of one of his own kids. Not a stretch to say he shouldn’t be near the other.
His oldest from another relationship was also removed from his home with ES by the state. That child has spoken out about similar treatment, including being left in the car in AZ for hours while very young, even without food, despite her being a T1. She was suicidal by the time of removal. That Scholtes and his wife were said to be pressuring/witness tampering by the 5 and 9 year olds is concerning. That ES wanted to get the young, grieving kids to watch daddy taken away in cuffs was also disturbing. LE said they didn't need to see that and stopped her.
