17 year old No jeans. No one wears them. Khakis or Nike sweat pants T shirts (not graphic) Hoodies (Patagonia or Carhartt) Lululemon shorts (the shortish ones) Nike blazers or leather flip flops
This seems pretty spot on to me and reflective of what my two teenage boys wear. Jeans are not popular on a day to day basis, but my boys each have a pair and will occasionally wear them with a sweatshirt, flannel shirt, or both (unbuttoned flannel over the sweatshirt). Generally speaking, hoodies, shorts, and t-shirts are what my sons live in. As another PP said, small logos are preferred right now. When the weather gets colder, they’ll switch to joggers or sweatpants. Gray Nike sweatpants are very common. One another thing I have not seen mentioned on here yet is accessories. It seems that wearing a chain has become more prevalent with teenage boys over the past few years. Mine, along with many others, wear cross chains, but simple chains with no pendant are very common too. One of my sons also has a bracelet that he got from vacation in the Caribbean that he likes to wear. Like other posters have said, anything goes for shoes. My sons mainly wear a couple different types of Nikes; one of my sons has a pair of Timberlands that he wears in the fall and winter, and my older son got into Birkenstocks last year and has lived in them this summer and wears them with socks and sweatpants at school. Recently, he’s talked about getting a pair of the Boston clogs, which have risen in popularity over the last couple years with teenage guys from what I can tell. And yes, the “shortish” Lululemon shorts are very popular with many boys at our school. Both of my DSs wear the 5 inch Pace breaker shorts and have a few different pairs/colors of them. They also wear the Lulu khaki pants and t-shirts, and I regularly see teen boys wearing other Lulu items, including the sweatshirts and joggers. Definitely expensive but prevalent and popular. My sons also like Gymshark and YoungLA brands as well for athletic gear.
