It might be usable for, say, an appointment with a therapist, but it is normally supposed to be used only for days when one is actually (physically) ill. Check your company's policy before doing something like this. As for vacation time, employers are required to pay the cash value of this when an employee departs in most states. Check with yours. Of course, there is nothing wrong with taking the time as actual vacation if you would prefer that to the cash.[/quote]
