Magnet level courses are comparable generally comparable to college level equivalents. For example, many who take linear algebra at Blair test out of it at UMD.[/quote] No, the Magnet admin says that the magnet elective classes are NOT replacements for college courses, they are samplers/tasters that go deep on sample topics. Linear Algebra (along with Multivariable and Diff Equ) is an exception because that's on the regular math sequence for MCPS / Dual Enrollment taught at High School Organic Chem is only Dual Enrollment taught at the college.
