With either ADHD or ASD, the world doesn't mesh with who these kids are, leading to so many misunderstandings. All day, every day. It's a capricious, unfathomable world. Of course these kids feel aggrieved.
I know a family of ASD and the father is so kind. He has all the symptoms 24/7 but when something messes up he says Oops, or I’m sorry. When his kid messes up he says the same and adds He’s doing his best. He is aware enough to say, I don’t know what you’re talking about. The result is most people show him grace and repeat themselves or help him or change to an easier topic. Sure some people have a deadline or need some fast processors and that’s fine too. But by HIM being nice and kind after confusion, he doesn’t destroy relationships. Like how being mean, explosive or defiant would.
