Starting weight this morning was 179.2 and my goal is 170lbs even. Loseit says I need to cut to 1744 calories per day to lose 1.5 lbs per week. I’m going to log every last thing I eat until I hit my goal and I’ll be shooting for macronutrients in the 50% Protein/25% Carbs/ 25% Fats range. Does all of that sound reasonable?
No. A 9lb loss is not a “weight loss journey.”
Generally I would agree with you. But as someone who has never been able to lose even a few pounds easily, I believe there are some of us who would consider 9# a journey. I lost 20 pounds a few years ago but then stalled and maintained for a year and a half. I somehow gained 5 back. Despite my efforts over the past few months, I have been unable to lose a single pound. I don't know if OP fits this category of people who have great difficulty losing weight, but I'm ok with understanding that even a small amount is a big effort and process (aka journey) for many people. FWIW, 10# is actually a significant amount of weight. An amount I would be thrilled with right now.
