Those older customers give references, big holiday bonuses and maybe their houses are pleasant and the people are pleasant. My cousin had a housekeeper who did not increase her fees for forever (my cousin just gave her small raises each year anyway) but her house was already meticulous and my cousin has a really sweet personality.[/quote] My housecleaner is a sole proprietor and if I didn’t just give her a raise every year, I don’t think she’d ask for one. Everyone is within their rights to shop around for low cost cleaning, but if you’re in a long term relationship with someone you like, make sure it’s fair.
