Pick a college that your child is interested in. See how many student have applied that are around the same GPA. I remember seeing a handful of 4.6 GPAs - but the reality is that at that point it is not about your peers at Walls that you need to "reassess", it is about really understanding that there are a lot of great students from around the world who have done some really interesting things through high school who are applying to top colleges.
