Your child is fine. This is why healthcare costs are through the roof. Why don't you take your DC to the ER and let them run multiple tests on him?
You realize that answering my OP 12 hours after I posted it is basically the equivalent of laying in bed hours after the party has ended and *finally* thinking of that witty comeback. If your reading comprehension skills were up to par, you would probably be able to understand that by calling the doc rather than taking my kid straight to the ER, I am (by your own logic) keeping down healthcare costs. But thanks for playing. Feel free to try again later. Btw, thank you for those of you with helpful answers. The nurse we spoke with, when we got a return call, had us check on DS every 3 hours overnight, and told us to keep an eye on him for the next 24 hours, and what kind of symptoms to keep an eye out for.
Kids fall. It is part of childhood. My DH is a doctor. I hate when we get woken up at night for stupid questions. He usually instructs them to go to the ER if they cannot wait for an appointment. Flame away.
80% of those questions are his fault for not giving proper informed consent, discussing common complications, red flags, "pink" flags, etc.
