BC grad here. Obviously, they are great schools. BC has a defined campus that feels residential. The are south of campus is more city-ish, but with brownstones and apartment buildings. In the other directions, you have single family homes, some that are historic and impressive. Most of the dorms are 3-6 floors. There is a ton of green space. It’s a beautiful campus. Yes, the Jesuit vibe is strong (and people are mostly proud that it’s strong than Georgetown’s). Great school spirit. Though football and basketball haven’t been great of late, women’s lax and hockey have been pretty good. BU has a city campus feel. Several dorms are high-rise buildings. It has more in common with Northeastern (and other city famous) than BC when it comes to how the area feels. That part of Brighton/Allston has lots of restaurants, some shops, and a couple music venues. School spirit isn’t as strong. BU hockey is usually good. In my day, more people were going to see pro sports at the BU stadium than BU’s teams. It would surprise me if someone said they were interested in BC and BU. As I said above, BU and Northeastern have much more similar vibes.
