I also have always had perfect vision—hadn't had an eye test since probably my last high school physical... but had gotten some strange headaches, especially after a long day at work, and wondered if I hadn't scratched my retina playing with my kids or something. Went to the doctor and she looked in my eye and finally sat down and asked me how old I was. I told her, and she asked me to grab a box from the shelf and check it out—I picked it up and held it up to read and started squinting and holding it closer and further away and she started laughing.

"You're just old and you need an eye test!" She was stunned I had never had an eye test. Optometrist says my distance is still 20/20 but I need reading glasses. I've embraced it with gusto. It's really nice to read again![/quote]
