So he IS going to do something. "There will be a reckoning" tracks with Trump saying to his supporters that "I am your retribution." Sounds like you want a federal government that is loyal only to Trump, not the constitution. While top positions in government usually change when there's a new president, particularly one of a different party, no US president has required a loyalty pledge to himself--that's usually something you see in fascist governments like Mussolini's in Italy.
