These churches are getting really good at hiding their beliefs.  They can get money out of you for a few weeks until the next anti-gay sermon comes along and shocks you.

Not the PP, but sometimes you have to read those statements of faith very carefully to figure out who a church welcomes. I’ve had times where I’m like, “dude, just tell me what you think of gays, divorce, and abortion, and we’ll save each other a lot of time.” But you have to wade through a lot of, “we are an affirming community of Christ who believe in the sanctity of the holy, the inspiration of God’s wisdom, the presence of the Holy Spirit, the incarnation of the real, and who choose to worship together as a devoted flock for His glory.”[/quote]
