I thought everyone who is offered Spring admission is put in letters and sciences, but I am happy to be wrong. Some majors are easier to transfer into than others. My own kid with a 3.9 UW GPA and 1450 SAT was offered spring admission. [b]He wanted computer science [/b]so chose to attend elsewhere.[/quote]

As has been stated many, many times, UMD admits major blind. Once you are in then you are competitively considered for your major, if it’s an LEP.[/quote]

I’ve heard this too, but then also that UMD, like many schools needs to balance the class to ensure all majors are represented. Aren’t those two contrary goals?[/quote]
