If you're entering for French, and you're with the strongest DCI kids from Spanish/Chinese, who are starting a second language (French), then your schedule will at least partly mesh with theirs. I don't know if anyone at DCI enrolls in Chinese as their second language (I would expect fewer kids like that, but it happens). It also depends if you place in a "ninth grade math for eighth graders" class (I believe there were two classes like this, this year). If you're placed in Chinese 1 with kids who've been doing that for several years, that's a whole other experience.[/quote]
