i hope SB wouldn't base its boundary decisions on whether a school is highly sought after or not.

couldn't SB also break up the overlap between Key and ASFS to bring in more north-side kids to ASFS, while moving some of the non-immersion Key kids to Long Branch/Henry?

No. It would make more sense for the north-side kids to go to the new schools in the north-side.  If they are so up for walkers and not busing--they should keep us in boundary ao we can continue walking the 5-6 blocks to ASFS.[/quote]

likewise, i bet many families in ASFS immediate neighborhood would love to be rezone to ASFS from Taylor so they can walk less than one block to school...[/quote]
