ES has ELC. They received a pullout ONCE in semester. it is another genius idea of MCPS to create ELCs at home schools. Honors for All. ELC for All. AP tests free for All.
SAT and AP tests free for all is great. How could you have a problem with that? You don’t want kids in low income families to go to college?
Unless the kid is interested in putting in the effort to prep for the AP/IB exam, it is a waste for MCPS to pre-pay for the test since the kids have zero skin in the game. Many of these kids are sleeping through the test or having their arms twisted to take the test. Low-income kids who need help paying for the tests have always been able to get waivers. Paying for AP/IB tests for all is a waste of taxpayer dollars.
