Our kids were in privates (same for k-8, different for HS) because the schools were a good match for them and they were thriving. We were lucky to be able to afford it and not really think about the cost. If we couldn't afford it, they would have gone to our public. Our very large public is a very different environment than our private was - but that doesn't mean it was inferior. Kids were happy with their pathway and so were we. Everybody finds what works for them. [/quote]
