No party has a monopoly on wisdom. No democracy works without compromise. I want to get this done, and we can get it done." This is pretty vague given the fact that the bipartisan debt commission (Simpson-Bowles) didn't approve a report. Simpson and Bowles released their own plan, however. I take this to mean that Obama will raise taxes and cut social security, which is what S and B proposed. [/quote]
