I was one of the few people who supported him for president in 2008. He knows a ton, esp about foreign policy but also many other areas, he knows how DC works and how to get things done, and he's way more straightforward with the public than other politicians. He sometimes says things he shouldn't, but it's never a lie. Now, having seen him in action since then, I probably wouldn't want him at the top of the ticket, but he's definitely a huge asset. People who just see him speak or his gaffes aren't getting a true picture. I only counted two 'literallys' in his speech last night; someone must have talked to him about that. [/quote]
