Computer Science Principles isn't considered to be a difficult exam and he has all day Tuesday to prep. Try it. You don't have to report scores if it doesn't work out.
How do you supposedly know which exam?
How do you know so little about APs yet feel compelled to post? Computer Science is the only AP left that a freshman would be taking. - NP
I’d counter with, how do YOU know so little about APs that you think that computer science is the only subject a freshman would be taking. Among others freshmen also take APUSH and physics. It depends on the school. So don’t be such a d-bag.
AP govt can also be taken freshman year. Both my DCs did. I suspect maybe that ^PP lives in a lower performing school cluster.
I'm not that PP, but gov was last week, as was APUSH. Physics 1 is a possibility, but not many freshman take that. Comp Sci Prin is the most likely candidate for a freshman taking an AP this week. It is an easy test. I think many of the comp sci teachers aren't super great (its a hard position for schools to hire), so the kids all feel nervous and unprepared (and often intimidated by the kids in the class that have been coding since K). I think there's some online prep he can work on tomorrow and if he's totally at sea, he can skip it. If he goes in Wed and takes it and feels awful afterwards, he can cancel the score by 6/10. And most schools dont' require reporting all scores, so if he ends up not doing great, he can just not have it reported. I still remember not wanting to take the Physics 2 AP because I was worried I would not do well...my dad talked me into taking it, saying he didnt mind if it was wasted money, but he minded me not trying. I got a three, but I'm glad I took it because he was right. You miss every shot you don't take.
This is true, and as someone stated up thread, it's good practice.
