Never mind, it's all water under the bridge now and neither Obama's engagement or Hillary's sanctions have gotten us any closer to a solution on Iran. And btw Romney talks a lot tougher, but I guarantee you that in office he will pursue effectively the same policy toward Tehran as Obama has. Truth is that Iran presents a lousy problem with no clear or easy way to resolve it.

Forgive the hijack here. Back to the usual programming. I thought that platform discussion was an embarassment to all of us. I can see why they wanted to add the language (even if I don't agree with the substance, it's good politics.) But once you're in a situation where the process has gone awry (e.g., nothing close to 2/3 support in a voice vote), don't try to deny reality on national TV. Really really badly handled.
