[/quote] DP I disagree, while it's not my preference, it can look really nice with color accents in decor or landscaping. That could apply to any style of home but farmhouse is good base palette where accents can shine on white/black. It's a very classic and safe choice. The op's premise bothers me because it is a common lament of many to decry one style by comparing the cheaper ends of it to the highest ends of the styles they prefer.[/quote]
