He tries to make our kids use them. Occasionally I borrow a couple small ones to house a category of item like socks that I don't want to have to dig for. I have a great soft-sided carryon and mostly pack in two rectangular stacks that are side by side. Cubes wouldn't do much to organize that. These would be an ok gift to try but there is no way to know if the recipient will like them. Like a wallet or a purse, the recipient's preferences could be very idiosyncratic.[/quote]
