So instead of going to a restaurant, like tradition, youre dining room is the restaurant and youll have seating, dishes, and space for 20 teens in your house? Are you on a budget? Asking parents to contribute? 8d go with catering - no shopping, no prep, they're used to serving/prepping for a crowd, easy for you, and it's not homemade (sorry. But not everyone will like you're cooking).
For whatever reason, my kids and their friends do pre dance food at each other’s homes. I mentioned it’s a big range of what parents offer and spend. One family had space for sit down — but most do not. We have enough seating spread around the kitchen/family room connected area for 2 or 3 seating areas, so everyone could sit. Budget is not a primary concern. I’d like to have something nice since this is our last kid and last high school dance (and first time hosting pre prom).
