And yet DCI is nipping at their heels as being a younger school!  Basis ranked very low in the state assessment performance rank at #31 in the state, which ranks "how aggregated scores on state assessments compare with U.S. News' expectations given the proportions of students who are Black, Hispanic and from low-income households".  DCI wasn't as good as it should be at #13, but much better than Basis, with a significantly higher percentage of minority students enrolled.  (Yes, I am DCI parent and am proud of how well DCI has ranked in Star ratings, etc. at bringing up the performance of disadvantaged students.)[/quote]

It's great you are happy and proud. But, it's also good to remember how silly these arguments are too. Parents can choose BASIS or Latin over DCI for good reasons that have to do with their kids and not a school rating. Less chrome book time, more individualized attention for kids that need it, etc. These my school is better than yours matches just seem sad.[/quote]
