Once you pay, that begins the registration process with the governing bodies. Regardless, don’t be a jerk and keep one team hanging for something better. What are you teaching your kid?
You must not know how clubs work. They screw over kids all the time. I know two kids who were on the second best team only to be moved down to the third best time because the coach wanted two players who he knew from the lower team. No warning. Nothing. This occurred this past winter. It was a blow to the face for the two kids and parents. Also, very common for clubs to leave roster spots literally empty in case they can recruit and steal a better player from another club. Clubs have zero loyalty to the kids. I've always taught my kids, at this age, to look out for their best interest unless it's something illegal or immoral. Clubs don't care if you leave especially clubs like MYS where there is a list of 20-30 kids who didn't get an offer more than happy to jump at an empty spot.
