I got my first Miele when I was 26 and it just broke last year when I was 48. It only broke because I dropped an IKEA book case on it. Nothing mechanical. Best purchase ever.
You idiots are a commissioned salesperson's dream. A $200 vacuum can last just as long if you care for it properly.
Take it from a professional - my first job was at Molly Maid, cleaning homes for very rich people on Cape Cod. The very first expensive purchase I made when I finally had any cash to splash was a Miele vacuum. Mine was ~$700 in 2013 when I bought it. It’s never had any issues and cleans better than any other vacuum I’ve ever used except my sister’s Miele, which was a more expensive version than mine and which she’s used continuously in her housecleaning business for two decades now. Yes some $200 vacuums will last that long if you really baby them, but they will never clean as well as a Miele. I don’t go for luxury brands in general but when it comes to vacuums, nobody builds them better than Miele.
