I just had my second colonoscopy this past week at 1pm and did fine. It was on Wednesday at 1pm. Sunday & Monday: stopped eating nuts, quinoa, popcorn, corn, raw fruits and raw vegetables. Everything else was fine. Tuesday: Ate breakfast & lunch that could only include clear liquids, non-red/orange drinks or jello, coffee or tea w/out milk, turkey or chicken w/out skin, creamy peanut butter, yogurt w/out fruit, non-pulp juice, white grape juice Beginning 5-6pm, drank the nasty prep. Drank 32 oz of water in the next two hours. Went to bed as usual around 11pm after staying close to the bathroom for a couple of hours. At 8am (5 hours before procedure), did the prep & water again. Could have ginger ale, apple juice. All fine. Stopped all liquids at 10am (3 hours before procedure) I recommend eating the day you start the prep. I think that when you go 24 hours without eating before you start the prep, it’s so painful. I also recommend scheduling a noon or 1pm procedure time. It means you don’t have to get up in the middle of the night to take the prep again. Again, it was relatively painless doing this. The hardest part for me was drinking that liquid prep. I know there are pills. Perhaps I will try that next time in 7 years, which is when I have to do it again. Hope this helps. Good luck to everyone.
