We actually had her ears pierced with titanium, and that took forever to heal, over a year. I don’t think titanium will work for her either, as we’ve tried putting in the earrings she had her ears pierced with and even they cause a reaction. I will look into some of these options, everything we’ve tried has been “ Nickel Free”. Maybe the plastic will work? Poor kid. She just has sensitive skin overall, she reacts hugely to bug bites and sunburns even with olive skin when the rest of the family tans.
I posted earlier about titanium and plastic from Blomdahl. My daughter is the exact same way (right down to getting sunburn when the rest of us are tanning). One thing to consider for titanium earrings is that it may not be the earrings, it could be the backings. My daughter's ears didn't heal after wearing the flat back earrings from the piercing shop for months, so we tried a few things and landed on Blomdahl and an Etsy shop. Both of those shops send metal and plastic backings for each pair of earrings and we only use the plastic backings. Her ears are doing great now. I have no idea if it was the backings or just that the earrings from the piercing shop weren't medical grade titanium, but she can now wear earrings for weeks at a time and she seems to be all healed up. Here's the Etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/ElizabethQDesigns
