We actually had her ears pierced with titanium, and that took forever to heal, over a year. I don’t think titanium will work for her either, as we’ve tried putting in the earrings she had her ears pierced with and even they cause a reaction. I will look into some of these options, everything we’ve tried has been “ Nickel Free”. Maybe the plastic will work? Poor kid. She just has sensitive skin overall, she reacts hugely to bug bites and sunburns even with olive skin when the rest of the family tans.
Have the earrings you tried all been studs? For me, not only do the earrings have to be gold or titanium, but my ears can’t handle studs. Something about that round piece that goes in the back to hold the stud in place just doesn’t work for my ears. I have some nice diamond studs that I can only wear for a few hours at a time (so special occasions only) before my ears start to swell. One of my kids has this issue too, interestingly the other does not. Might be something for you to look into.
Are hoops better ?
Yes, hoops or anything else that has a hinge or a lever back (I had to look these up as I didn’t know these terms).
