Stracci pizza is good (their salad is fantastic) but it isn’t worth the insane stress of ordering it and waiting hours, and I mean HOURS. They seem to have adopted the Atlanta restaurant scene customer service model, where they are so rude, don’t give an F if you care or ever come back. Ordering even takeout is an over complicated process that just isn’t necessary. If you want to order takeout you need to order it around midnight the night before (I sh!t you not) online. This is also what the hostess told me (and not in a nice way). A few weeks ago I thought I was clever with ordering my order early in the afternoon around 2pm via their website and after I pressed pay it replied great, come at 8pm. WHAT?! I couldn’t get anyone on the phone so I had to wait around. Show up at 7:50pm, hostess screamed at me for being early (she may have raised her voice because it was so loud in there but it wasn’t polite). So we decided to grab a drink and wait outside since we’d already waited HOURS to get take out of 2 pizzas and the bartender screamed at us for not being in line in a certain order even though DH and I were the only people at the counter. He wanted DH in front and me second not me first. We looked at each other like huh? As we drank our wine outside waiting we talked with people waiting for a table, one who’d been there for 2 hours waiting. I was stunned. They said they’d seen this place on Tik Tok and had driven in from DC. Another said he’d heard about it from a foodie fb group. None of these people had kids and just thought it was fun to spend hours upon hours to wait for pizza where people yell at you. I’ve heard from a few friends in the neighborhood who like to go but it’s impossible to grab food there being a local on less than several hours notice which is nuts. And they don’t care if you ever come back, which isn’t representative of the neighborhood restaurant scene at all. Italian Store and Frank Pepe are way less stress and very good.
