It is hard to grasp how a pediatrician of all people would do something as stupid as riding inside a trailer that is not in anyway designed for safety while moving and has no restraints to protect a human body in the event of a collision, nevermind being near the door so she could be thrown from the vehicle when it opened - and how did *that* happen?? And it wasn’t just her - the husband and daughter were both foolish enough to go along with the decision to ride in the towed vehicle. What was so important to do in there that it couldn’t wait 20 minutes until they reached their destination?? What a waste of life, and when we already have a physician shortage.
Honestly, I don’t really think it’s much of a loss to the medical community. This woman appears to have had incredibly bad judgement (and that’s the absolute kindest way to say it) and if she were my child’s doctor and I learned that she did things like riding in a trailer being towed, I’d find a new doctor immediately. Because this is a person who isn’t very smart, doesn’t pay attention to warnings, and has poor judgment. This is not a person I want dispensing medical treatment to my child.
