Can anyone tell me that if there are actual, real, things to be angry with Obama about, why the Republican have to keep lying? Ryan criticized Obama from cutting future Medicare growth by $700 billion. Ryan's own budget had the same cuts. Ryan blamed Obama for closing a GM plant that closed in 2008 when Bush was president. Of course, an entire day of the convention was devoted to the out-of-context "you didn't build that" quote. What does it say about Ryan and the Republicans that they have to base so much of their campaign on lies?
Nope, nobody can tell you anything specific to be angry with Obama about. I actively campaign for him, and I'm in a RED state. I try very hard to get people to give me specifics so that we can go from there and focus our conversation on their greatest concern. But they just can't do it. Plain and simple. They throw out something like "Obamacare", but when I ask what specific element of Obamacare they don't like, they just throw out another generality such as "because it's going to put me out of business." Or they try to spew something that I can debunk with a 30 second google search on my phone. I blame most of this on cable news networks. We are no longer conditioned to form our own opinions. We turn to our trusted news channel and mindlessly soak up the information they want us to hear. We let them tell us what to be outraged about and who to believe. So sad.
