Fast food restaurants in California are raising prices and laying off workers since the $20 minimum wage for FF workers into effect on April 1st. What did they expect? That restaurants would pay this wage and graciously not raise prices? Those jobs were never meant to provide a living wage. Just causes more inflation and those workers are right back to where they were. Let’s see how many of those workers come off social safety net programs with the higher wages. I’m betting very few. Why don’t democrats understand how capitalism works?
Most fast food fast food places are moving to robots. So this is basically a non issue.
Makes sense. That’s what I would do based on Democratic policies. Robots don’t call in sick, don’t need a 401K, don’t have to pay half of SS or Medicare, don’t have to provide medical insurance, don’t need DEI, etc.
They're coming for all jobs, not just fast food workers. Employers don't want to pay your 401(k) either.
